while i agree on some of your point, you forgot to highlight the very reason why it had lead into this. can you comment regarding the interfering of the US govt between our internal affairs? yes, i agree with you that VFA is very essential to us especially with the ongoing issue in the WPS however, the current administration is building ties us well with the eastern counterpart such as Russia. To add also, i highly doubted that in the event that this administration would scrap VFA, the US on the other hand would do the same with EDCA. You see, of all the countries in the pacific area, Philippines is the most strategic location compared to Japan and other neighboring states that would served as deterrence against China. It's a big lose for them.
